Xavi retired from football after the season 2014/15. Retired as a player he would continue to play in Qatar and later coach the same place as well.
Xavi won everything possible with FC Barcelona and formed a magnificent triad in the midfield alongside Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta.
But at some point the music has to stop. And for Xavi the last home match was on the 23rd of May 2015 at the Camp Nou in Barcelona.
Xavi was the number 6 with Barcelona while he was the number 8 with Spanish national team. Curiously Iniesta had the opposite number selection. 8 for Barcelona and 6 with Spain.
