Adidas will abandon ship and focus on individual athletes (and soccer ?) while Nike will take over the apparel and uniform sponsorship of the NBA.

The deal will take effect starting with 2017/18 season.
First time ever that the apparel sponsor’s logos will appear on the uniforms.
Maybe the jerseys will also include sponsors like known from soccer and there are also speculations that basketball jerseys will start to come with sleeves.
We will have to wait a few years though before we will know how Nike NBA jerseys will look like!
